Abstract

Communicative body movements (gestures) are of great importance in human communication and in creating a deep impact on others, hence the idea of the title, so we took upon ourselves the study of the semantic variation arising from gestural movements, and because the topic is broad, we paved the way for it by introducing gestural movements in general, then we limited ourselves to the context The Qur’anic, and the nature of the research necessitated the treatment of the subject in three sections related to the movements (head, eye and hand). In the first topic, we talked about (the head area) and its gestural movements, and it was divided according to its connotations into two parts: the first section dealt with the movement of (mockery with symptoms), and the second section studied the movement of the head that leads to the connotation of (humiliation, fear and surrender). Then comes the second topic (the eye), in which we talked about the eye and its linguistic significance, then we went back to its gestural movements. The topic was divided into three demands according to the evidence achieved. The first requirement was about the realization of the significance of (fear) in the movement of the eye, and the second requirement was about the significance of (humiliation and refraction). The third requirement is a study of the significance of (sarcasm). As for the third topic, it was about (the hand), we paved the way for it by talking about the hand and its linguistic connotations and then gesturalism. The topic was divided into three sections, the first section was about realizing the connotation of (regret), and the second was about the connotations of (miserliness and generosity.
