Abstract

The purpose of this study is to shed some light a part of the social life of the rich class, as this class is one among of the important and influential classes of society in those human societies and over the ages because this class possessed huge and influential funds in economic and even political life. The rich or the wealthy sought to live in luxury in various aspects of their lives, so their tables and the types of luxurious foods and drinks that were on them were the focus of our study. The Islamic conquests had a great and stimulating role in civilized initiatives in various fields, including food and drink, as the wealthy, by virtue of their movement for the purpose of commercial work or the like, took the opportunity to see and learn new foods and drinks, so they enjoyed eating the best of foods and the best drinks. The motive behind this was to flaunt their wealth.
