Abstract

The research aims to achieve the following: The effectiveness of an educational design based on the integration between the theory of emotion and the strategies of the four patterns in the social studies subject and the development of emotional thinking among middle school students.Identifying the effectiveness of the educational-learning design in the emotional thinking of students in the social studies subject. In order to achieve the research objective, the researcher set the following null hypotheses:To achieve the research objectives, the researcher adopted two approaches: the descriptive approach in building the educational design, and the experimental approach in identifying the effectiveness of the educational design according to the integration between the theory of emotion and the strategies of the four patterns among second-year middle school students and their emotional thinking. This research was limited to second-year middle school students for the academic year (2023-2024).The researcher randomly selected (Al-Rafidain Intermediate School for Boys); The researcher visited the school and the school administration showed great cooperation with the researcher, as the researcher randomly chose Section (A) to represent the experimental group that will study the social studies subject according to an educational design based on theintegration between the theory of emotion and the strategies of the four patterns, and Section (B) to represent The total number of students in the two groups was (60) students; (30) students in the experimental group, and (30) students in the control group. The researcher statistically rewarded the members of the two groups in the following variables: The researcher determined the subject matter with topics from the social studies book for the second intermediate grade. The researcher built a scale for emotional thinking consisting of (35) paragraphs, and validity and reliability were verified. The researcher used appropriate statistical methods to extract data, and the results showed that the students of the experimental group outperformed the students of the control group
