Abstract

Belief in the Last Day is considered a fundamental pillar of religion and one of its pillars without which religion cannot stand, and one of the basic beliefs of Islam. Belief in the Last Day and its signs is a belief in the unseen that the mind cannot comprehend, and there is no way to know it except through the texts of revelation, and the status of the Last Day in Religion, we find that God Almighty linked it to many deeds, as the reward for deeds will be on this great day. The Last Day in Islam and Christianity has been associated with signs associated with the appearance of the Savior, and they may be related to each other and similar to some extent. This is what we will try to clarify in our research in accordance with its demands to talk about the signs of the appearance and events of the world in Islam and Christianity and then make a simple comparison between them, asking God for success in what we have chosen.

The Islamic and Christian conceptions agree that only God knows the time of the Hour, but it has signs and preludes, and texts have been mentioned in the Qur’an that agree with the texts of the Gospels in this regard. The signs of the appearance in the distorted texts of the Gospels agree in the general meaning with the signs of the appearance that were mentioned in the Sunnah of the Chosen One - may God bless him and his family and grant them peace - with the difference between the generality among Christians and the detail among Muslims. The Christian and Islamic conceptions agree on the appearance of the Antichrist, and that he has attributes and deeds. The descent of Jesus, peace be upon him, at the end of time to kill the Antichrist is something that Islam and Christianity agree upon.
