Abstract

The problem of this study is the extent of the ability of the discourse to harmonize different linguistic styles in the same discourse, express them at one performance level, and its impact on the achievement power and the level of the speakers' competence in discourse. The study is interested in effective linguistic methods in Nizar Qabbani’s discourse, based on his collection “Diary of an Indifferent Woman” as an example. The study researches through the pragmatic approach represented by the theory of implicit, the speaker's ability to maintain discourse issues in different linguistic methods with equal influential power, the impact of expressive arts on the interlocutors, and identifying the manifestations of the use of arts and renewing them in the studied discourse, which turned out to be compatible between the beginning and end, emphasizing the ability of the speaker and his linguistic, comprehensive, pragmatic and logical skills. The psychological factor and the performance power of speech acts in the language are used due to the difference in people’s impacts on their senses from one interlocutor to another. Written speech, with its modernity and investment in the typographic space, paralleled the self’s desire for renewing, coexistence, and freedom from old stereotypes. As for the methods of discourse, they equally affected the performance, improvement, and impact on their expression of societal issues.
