The role of technology in raising the level of academic achievement among fifth grade students in geography / Kirkuk

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the role of technology in improving the academic performance levels of geography students in the fifth literary grade (Kirkuk).To achieve this, the descriptive analytical approach was used. The questionnaire was adopted as a research tool, consisting of (40) items that express the research topic and its basic variables. The original group of male and female preparatory stage teachers for the subject was identified, and a sample of (100) teachers was identified. To answer the survey questions. The validity and reliability of the tool was confirmed through appropriate statistical methods.

       The results of the study showed that reliance on technology played a positive role in raising the level of academic achievement for fifth grade students to a high degree, and that the use of electronic books and smart boards played a positive role in raising the academic level of fifth grade students to a moderate degree, and reliance on interactive video also played a positive role. In raising the scientific level to a high degree, noting that there are many obstacles in terms of equipment, infrastructure, teachers and learners to using technology in the difficulties of teaching with a high rating. The results also showed that there are no statistically significant differences between the responses of the sample members depending on the variable of the training courses.
