This phenomenon has penetrated all countries of the world, and the degree of its spread and danger varies from one country to another. The danger of drugs is evident in their religious, health, psychological, social and economic harm. On the one hand, it causes religious harm, as its use is considered a violation of the teachings of sacred law. In addition, there are many health harms resulting from drug abuse, including: disturbances in mental functions and weakness of sensory functions. And gland disorder. In addition to immunodeficiency, etc., diseases Drug abuse and addiction also lead to the disintegration of families, the disintegration of the values and background standards of addicts, in addition to the spread of deviance and crime in society. Drug crimes in Iraq have varied between abuse, trafficking, transportation, promotion, possession, smuggling, agriculture, and manufacturing. Or in terms of committing a rate of (50.26%) of the total types of drug crimes committed in Iraq, and from the above, and since education in its broad sense is every effort made to bring about the desired change in the behavior of members of society, as the sound education methods to which the individual is exposed constitute a bulwark. To protect him from falling into the clutches of various social diseases, such as drug abuse, Therefore, the researcher believes that in order for educational institutions to play their role in reducing the spread of the phenomenon of drug abuse, a number of mechanisms and methods within educational institutions must be taken into account. Which the researcher proposed in this article as a type of preventive education to reduce the phenomenon of drug abuse in educational institutions.
