Abstract

The ancient critics and rhetoricians paid great attention to the words and meanings of the poets. They identified many problems and issues for them, and they established them and gave them various conventional names, including a problem, or the issue of ambiguity and complexity. No matter how much I study and research this issue, there is still room for dialogue and discussion. After reading poetic texts in criticism books, reviewing the opinions of critics, and linking them to events, horizons opened up for me and the opportunity was created to add useful things. Therefore, I continued writing this research, as I was convinced and believed seriously. This issue, and I found that critics and recipients want the meanings to be clear and uncovered, not covered by a veil, or a refrain that hinders perception. The poet often resorts to using intellectual supplies with a hidden relationship, and to metaphors that make it difficult to understand what is meant by the poetic text. Complexity and ambiguity in general make us tired of thinking, but some of it benefits us and represents a positive value for us, while others represent a negative value as it prevents us from meaning. Perhaps the distinction between the two types may be hidden to the ordinary reader, and some of the words should be familiar and not strange, because strangeness It places a barrier between the poet and the recipient of his text, causing a kind of ambiguity and complexity, and it must not carry more than one meaning, and it must not violate the rules of grammar and its principles, and it must be well-woven, harmonious and cohesive in the poetic verse and in the entire poem.
