Abstract

The current research aims to identify: -

First: The role of human resources management in planning the career path of employees of the General Directorate of Education in Diyala.

Second: Identifying the differences between the performance of male and female employees in the role of human resources management in planning the career path according to the gender variable (females – males).

The problem of the current research is that some employees are ignorant of the reality of the career path. There is a prevailing belief among some of them that the career path is linked to the employee's promotion to a higher position than his current job. This is a wrong belief, as the employee may find himself walking a successful career path without being promoted to higher job positions. Accordingly, the research problem is determined in the following research question: -

The results of the research showed that human resources management has a role in developing employees' paths through effective planning of their career paths, which helps in providing them with job stability. The study also showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the perceptions of sample members according to the gender variable about the role of human resources management in planning their career path. Through the results reached by the research, the researcher proposed a set of recommendations and suggestions
