Abstract

Because of the desert environment and the lack of resources, the culture of invasions, plunder and raping became widespread in the Arabian Peninsula, which created a state of tension, and the poet was glorifying his heroism and proud of himself. Which made him often go to extremes in his descriptions of killing and blood for the purpose of terrorizing his enemies on the one hand, and being the mouthpiece of the tribe on the other hand, glorifying and mentioning itIts exploits are for the people, and the poet finds himself part of this tribe, which he is proud of and mentions its heroism. When he glorifies the tribe, he glorifies himself. Because he identified with the tribe, which made him a part of it, and therefore the poet worked in that period in two directions: The first was to spread the culture of blood in society, so the more his poems depicted blood and violence, the moreIt was more effective in terrorizing his enemies. The second trend was to fan the fire of grudges and revenge between tribes, which made conflicts last for years or even decades. The poet was not an advocate of peace. Rather, he was a warmonger.
