Abstract

This study aimed to reveal the Bezel of practice of alternative assessment strategies by geography teachers in the preparatory stage and the difficulties of using them. They are: performance dependence, achievement files, self-review, peers, communication, verbal assessment concept maps, and the second, consisting of (21) items, to measure their difficulties in using them. The questionnaire was applied to a sample consisting of (55) male and female teachers, who were randomly selected from male and female middle school teachers in Dhi Qar governorate during the academic year 2021/2222.The results of the study showed the following: The degree of practice of alternative assessment strategies by geography teachers in the middle stage is high. There are no statistically significant differences at the significance level (a > 0.05). In the averages of the degree of practice of geography teachers in the preparatory stage of alternative assessment strategies in the seven dimensions of the study, according to the gender variable - E.
