Marxist aesthetic philosophy and its representations in the art of socialist realism in China

The current research discusses a presentation of the Marxist philosophy of beauty and its artistic applications from the productions of the socialist realist painting in the Republic of China, and the research problem. The question was: What are the aesthetics of socialist realism art in China? The importance of the research lies as a study that benefits researchers in Marxist philosophy and the art of socialist realism. As for the goal of the research, it was determined as follows: To know the Marxist philosophy of beauty and its representations in the art of socialist realism in China. One of the most important results was: The superstructure in the socialist society expresses the interests of the toiling classes themselves. It is used as a tool to preserve and protect the socialist base not only, but also as a powerful means to change and develop it in line with the interests of the masses themselves. Also, artistic creativity in the Marxist concept is obligated to contemplate reality deeply, and the ideal of artistic beauty for Marx emerges from the working class’s view of its practical activity, as it is embodied in the struggle to establish the rules of social justice. The socialist experience produced various arts called the art of socialist realism, most of which adopted realistic contexts that express the beauty and splendor of life under cooperative regimes.
