Abstract

The research tackled the biography of Imam Seraj AlDeen AlBalqeeni and investigate his character and traits in addition to his scientific and social as well as his qualifications. The study manifested the high activity of this Imam, which began since he was young as he paid a great attention to Quran memorization and scientific domain. His education became vast with wide horizons of knowledge and he lived in an important transitional period in the history of Egypt that was characterized with the weakness of Mamluki state in the last years of their reign and the rise of Burgi Mamluki state and the disorders and revolts at that era, which were manifested with the Mongol danger. His contribution was great in promoting the science and writing it down and the evidence for that is his adroitness in writing and classification and he occupied several positions including working as an orator, Mufti, teacher as well as a judge. Those jobs were only given to a high-ranked educated people. Section two of the research involved his age, positions and his books. The researcher relied on several references and included an introduction and a conclusions as well.
