Determining the appropriate development qualifications to achieve industrial development in Salah al-Din Governorate

Abstract

The study aims to identify the most important qualifications that assist in industrial development processes in Salah al-Din Governorate، as the study showed that Salah al-Din Governorate is distinguished by a unique geographical location in relation to Iraq and the rest of the governorates in the country، as it forms a network linking the northern governorates and the rest of the eastern، western and southern governorates، as well as development qualifications that contribute to the industrial development process، and is characterized by the diversity of the climate suitable for some industries، and the availability of appropriate water resources in terms of quantity and type. The governorate enjoys a large population suitable for providing labor، and the raw materials are diverse and are represented by metallic raw materials such as lime، gravel، sand and gypsum، and non-metallic raw materials such as oil and gas، and chemical raw materials، and agricultural raw materials in its plant and animal aspects. Salah al-Din Governorate also suffers from a shortage of electricity، and has a good road network that connects the governorate with the rest of the governorates in Iraq، and with the rest of the districts in the governorate.
