Abstract

The phenomenon of violence against women represents the most important negative manifestations that have occurred in human history because of its psychological, social and political consequences. Therefore, this research sought to shed light on the ways and mechanisms of combating violence against women by monitoring this opposition through the act of theatrical writing in its investigation of texts from international theatrical literature. This research was formed through four chapters. The first was (the methodological framework), which included the research hypothesis based on the following question: (How did playwrights seek to combat the phenomenon of violence against women through their theatrical texts?). As for the second chapter (theoretical framework), it included two sections. The first Titled (The Concept of Violence Against Women), and the second (Theater and Defending the Image of Women). The third chapter was the procedures, in which the researcher went to analyze the play by the American writer (Eve Ensler), entitled (Necessary Goals). The fourth chapter included the results, conclusions, and a list of sources and references.
