Abstract

Iraqi novels after 2003 reflected the manifestations of external war and internal war represented by sectarian and political violence, and the repercussions of those wars in the spread of violence and the escalation of internal and external migration waves. The importance of the research lies in seeking to contribute to adding scientific effort in the field of the Iraqi novel after 2003 and its political and societal transformations and the pivotal events that accompanied it in the history of modern Iraq. The research aims to reveal the novelistic production in the field of the tragedy of reality, from killing, displacement and violence for all members of society in general, and for women and the practice of violence against them in particular, and the accompanying transformations in Iraqi society, which was forced to migrate and live in a state of diaspora, voluntarily or unwillingly, on the one hand, and on the other hand the effects of that tragic reality on the concerns of the Iraqi individual. The researcher used the descriptive analytical method in analyzing the novel under study, taking into account the part of the tragic reality represented by the political conflict and the violence prevailing among members of Iraqi society in general and the voluntary or forced migration of the members of that society. The research reached, through the narrative analysis, the most important results, that the wars that Iraq has fought since the last quarter of the last century until the present time have affected the issue of the tragic reality of killing, displacement and escalating violence, which has prompted people inside to migrate abroad, which is truly a path to salvation,

especially for the oppressed minorities in Iraq. As for the migration and diaspora operations that the Iraqi novel depicted after 2003, Iraqi society inside and outside has suffered greatly from this issue and from the social relations between individuals. Society among themselves, which contributed to their search for lost identity.
