Semantic correlation between arrogance and the words indicated in the bride is crown of Zabaidi

Abstract

  Semantic field is one of the main important theories in the modern linguistics studies> it deals with the study of words by collecting them in the semantic fields . The context makes this theory significant so we can understand the meaning of the word from its relations with other words inside the field. In this study we choose Taj Alaroos dictionary by Al-zabaide (1205) as a model to study the vocabularies that deal with the meaning of ( proud) which has so many synonymies and we were accurate to choose the semantic fields that contain each collection of these vocabularies after being searched in the most of Arabic  dictionaries.                                                                              

         Hence we focused on the semantic correlations between yhe meaning of proud ( when one admire of himself) and the vocabularies that Al-zabaidi give them relating to the same meaning.
