Abstract

The conceptual framework of corruption crimes usually includes concepts and standards that define illegal and unethical behavior associated with corruption. This framework includes the definition of corruption, in addition to the legal structure and ethical rules associated with these crimes. It also includes distinguishing corruption crimes from other crimes and the negative effects of corruption on society and the economy, in addition to the means of combating it and the legal procedures related to it.

Corruption crimes are an additional compound of two words, one of which is (crimes) and the other is (corruption), so defining it linguistically requires defining its vocabulary, i.e. stating the meaning of each of these two words in the language. There are several definitions of corruption crimes, but in general, crimes as well as corruption can be defined linguistically, technically and legally, which we will discuss in the first section and its branches of this study. While we will discuss the characteristics of corruption crimes from other similar crimes in the second section and its branches in the same section Corruption crimes include a wide range of illegal acts that aim to exploit power or public resources to obtain personal benefits or for the benefit of a specific party in illegal ways, such as bribery, embezzlement, forgery of documents, money laundering and other illegal activities that negatively affect integrity and honesty in government work, companies and other institutions. We conclude from what was mentioned above that the term and meanings of corruption crimes are linguistically used to refer to the state of imbalance and loss of balance that affects material and moral things, as the term corruption refers to the imbalance that occurs in all administrative systems or part of them.
