Abstract

Extremist thought is a type of thought characterized by extremism and radicalism in opinion and positions, and often results in extremist behaviors that are aggressive or violent. Extremist thought can be associated with political, religious or cultural groups, and result in terrorist acts or threats to security and social stability. Preventive security for extremist thought aims to prevent the spread of these ideas and their negative impact on society. The problem of the research lies in answering the main question: What are the tools of preventive security to eliminate extremist thought? After the world has witnessed a great openness in the technological field and what we see today from the abundance of websites, extremist groups have exploited these sites and used them to attract and recruit young people and work to organize them into extremist groups. Extremist thought has been confronted, which requires comprehensive efforts by the security services and society. Preventive security can achieve this through a set of measures, such as awareness and education: raising awareness of the harms of extremist thought and the risk to society and the individual, and providing alternative and convincing visions. Monitoring the Internet and Social Media: Monitoring suspicious digital activities and intervening when necessary to prevent the spread of extremist content. International Cooperation: Exchanging information and expertise with other countries to combat extremism and terrorism. Developing Legislation: Developing laws regulating the use of the Internet and social media to prevent the dissemination of extremist content and terrorist recruitment.
