Abstract

Among the striking issues in the Holy Qur’an that deserve to be studied and thought deeply about are those related to defending and defending it in order to prove its truthfulness and miraculousness, and to note the divine approach to this and its aspects. Ever since the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, was sent, doubts about what was revealed to him from the Qur’an have never ceased: “And those who disbelieve say, ‘This is nothing but a lie that he has fabricated, and other people have aided him in it. Indeed, they have committed injustice and injustice * And they say, “He wrote down the legends of the ancients, so they are dictated to him morning and evening.” [Al-Furqan :4-5]. But he challenged all of that, proving its facts until he was unable. God Almighty says, for example: “Do they not contemplate the Qur’an? Had it been from other than God, they would have found in it much disagreement” [An-Nisa: 82], and His saying: “Indeed, the Those who disbelieved in the Reminder when it came to them, and indeed it is a Mighty Book * to which falsehood does not come. From before Him, nor from behind Him, is a revelation from the Wise, the Praiseworthy” [Fussilat: 41-42], and God Almighty challenged anyone to be able to produce a complete book like it, saying: “Say, ‘Bring a book from Allah that is more fully guided Which of them will I follow, if you are truthful? (Al-Qasas: 49) And he said: “Say, ‘If mankind and the jinn gathered together to produce the like of this Qur’an, they would not produce the like of it, even if they were to help one another. (Al-Isra: 88). Or just ten surahs: “Or do they say, ‘He has fabricated it?’ Say, ‘Then produce ten forged surahs like it, and call upon whomever you can besides Allah, if you are truthful.’” [Hud: 13 ], or at least one surah: “And if you are in doubt concerning what We have sent down to Our servant, then produce a surah like it.” And call your witnesses besides Allah, if you are truthful” [Al-Baqarah: 23].

The Qur’an has continued to be attacked with various suspicions throughout history, and this has not stopped to this day. At the time of the revelation, God Almighty narrated the words of the polytheists: “And those who disbelieve say, ‘Do not listen to this Qur’an, but distort it in it so that you may overcome.’” [Fussilat: 26], “i.e : They spoke the words that There is no benefit in it, rather it is harmful, and do not, despite your ability, enable anyone to have authority over you to speak it and recite its words and meanings.”

Raising suspicions to challenge the Qur’an is such nonsense, an expression of a form of the struggle between truth and falsehood that never ends, the law of God that He has established and an ancient matter among people, and one of the laws upon which the human system was created[3], in confirmation of the Almighty’s saying: “Likewise. God strikes truth and falsehood (Al-Ra’ad: 17), which requires defense and defense in accordance with the following: “Repel with that which is the best of evil. We know best what they describe” (Al-Mu’minun: 96), and: “Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and beautiful instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best.” } [An-Nahl: 125], and: “Repel with what is best, and then he who is between you and him is enmity as if he were a close friend” [Fussilat: 34], and: “Say, ‘The truth has come, and it is not.’” He initiates falsehood and does not repeat it.” [Saba: 49] Defending with the strength of facts and evidence and with the best and wisest words is the safest and most victo.
