Abstract

This research began to study and analyze the Inclusion of the two rival neighbors, Hungary and Romania, to the Tripartite Pact, and to find out the introductions and secrets of their rapid inclusion as the first two countries after its official emergence, and to find out the extent to which this act contributed to discouraging the factors of crisis and alienation between them, and whether it contributed in the long term to unifying and defining the features of influence and stabilizing interests. And defuse its rage?

The research was divided into two main axes. The first dealt with the accession of the Kingdom of Hungary to the Tripartite Pact on the twentieth of November 1940, tracing the impact of the gradual bias toward the philosophy of comprehensive state administration, which led to the rapprochement of the two Hungarian-German systems prior to the announcement of the results of the Second Vienna Arbitration, while explaining the effects that followed. This is on the economic and geopolitical levels. While the second axis discussed Romania’s accession to the Tripartite Pact on November 23, 1940, it looked at the nature of the European and regional developments that led to the decision to join the Axis powers, especially in light of the declaration of a totalitarian regime in managing the country’s affairs.
