Abstract

The city of Al-Qasim is one of the ancient historical cities inhabited by many peoples, and it went through historical roles and ancient names, including Syria, which many historians described as a city that was populated with population activity, and then the religious name represented by the personality of Imam Al-Qasim, son of Imam Musa bin Jaafar, peace be upon them, who delegated to This region during the time of the Abbasids, in addition to the distinguished geographical location that played a prominent role in the emergence of the city’s society, linking many cultural centers, especially between Baghdad and the regions of southern Iraq, and religious centers such as Najaf al-Ashraf and Karbala, and the political positions of the people of the city of al-Qasim, especially during the Great Iraqi Revolution in 1920. Translation from Arabic to English: Therefore, these historical, administrative, geographical, religious and political developments have cast their shadow on primary education, which also went through several stages characterized by a decline and increase in the number of school buildings, students and educational bodies during the periods of rule that Iraq passed through. Primary education received the attention of those concerned with educational affairs. Which brought about positive results that we will clearly see through the statistical indicators reviewed in the research for the period 1930-1979.
