Abstract

The emergence of the kingdom of Hira formed political and military importance for the Sassanid state, as it was the center of defense and the first line of defense in the wars of the Sassanid state with the Roman state, and the effects appear in the choice of Hira, for the emergence of the Sassanid crown prince Bahram, when the Sassanid king Yazdekard I chose the confusion to raise the crown prince, on It is a desire for the emergence of Prince Bahram, his upbringing is correct in a clean and rough atmosphere and environment away from the luxury of life in the Sassanid palaces, but it seems that there are other political and economic reasons, including the desire to consolidate the Sasanian-Arab relations after his accession to power, and to confront the coup against Bahram’s legitimacy in inheriting the throne and keeping him away from the throne. The danger of assassination and the support of the Arab tribes for him, so the naming of Al-Khorang Palace, which is the birthplace of Bahram, was formed as the starting point for divine support (Alkhorna) and his right to reach the Sassanid throne.

There are political and security reasons that prompted Yazdgerd to ask King Numan to build the Khorang for Bahram to live in and raise him there, for fear of killing the only heir to the king, after Yazdgerd’s relationship with the Iranian influential classes worsened, and the series of assassinations of kings continued before Yazdgerd came to power.
