Abstract

Newspapers and periodicals are considered one of the basic sources for studying the developments taking place in the history of peoples and political, economic and social systems, as they represent the opinions of the social elite, which plays a role in society in all vital aspects. As a result, newspapers and magazines appeared loyal to the political systems and others opposed to those systems, which paints a picture for us of the developments. And the fluctuations occurring in this or that society. Therefore, we chose this topic as the title of the research in order to explain the vision and position of this magazine on the policy of economic openness, the policy followed by Egyptian President Mohamed Anwar Sadat, starting from the end of 1973 and the beginning of 1974 until 1977, which is the time when the magazine was closed. It should be noted that the Egyptian economy during this historical period witnessed a major transformation by the followers of the ruling regime to an economic policy different from what was followed in the previous regime represented by the era of Gamal Abdel Nasser. As a result, the research was divided into several axes that embody the position on the phenomenon of parasitic capitalism, embodied in the manifestations of storage and the market. Black, as well as talking about the 1974 budget, foreign capital in the country, the movement of foreign investments, the problem of high prices, the phenomenon of debts and loans accumulated on the country and other economic phenomena of the policy of Muhammad Anwar Sadat.
