Abstract

The importance of the topic of my research tagged (the Jordanian vision for the activity of the Palestinian Liberation Region) lies in revealing the visions that Jordan has always proposed to reach a fair solution to the Palestinian issue, especially after the formation of the Palestine Liberation Organization headed by Ahmed Al-Shugairi on May 28, 1969 and then Yasser Arafat, who made hard efforts to unify and lead  The Palestinian factions and organizations that believed that the land was occupied by force must be returned by force, depending on the political and economic capabilities of the Arab countries. However, Jordan had another vision about the activity of the Palestine Liberation Organization, which was put forward by Jordanian officials in all international forums, and it was what King Hussein put forward when he addressed the Zionist entity, saying that either  He owns the land or peace, not both.  But the Zionist entity's insistence on rejecting most of the political initiatives and projects put forward by Arab and international conferences prevented achieving a fair solution to the Palestinian cause.

In addition, Jordan saw the need to contain all the obstacles and successive events, initially through its authentic Arab nationalist position to stand by the Palestinian Arab people and not abandon them in their plight. In contrast, the Palestine Liberation Organization rejected Rogers’ first project because it did not address the rights of the Palestinians and the future of their cause. This was considered by the organization to be a conspiracy against The Palestinian armed struggle and a new policy to liquidate the Palestinian cause. As for the Arab position, it was summed up by Egypt and Jordan accepting the Rogers Project at a time when the Zionist entity rejected it due to its doubts regarding what was proposed in the project. It came to appease the Arab state and impose a binding solution on the Zionists. What is striking is that the Palestine Liberation Organization and the Zionist entity both rejected the Rogers Project and this was encouraging Jordan to take a serious stance towards Protecting its political independence and not allowing Jordan’s security and stability to be tampered with.
