The effect of the five fingers strategies and the group of experts on the achievement and high-ranking thinking of the fifth grade biology students in the subject of literature and text

Abstract

The current research aims to identify the effect of the strategies of the five fingers and the group of experts on the achievement and high-ranking thinking of the fifth grade biology students in the subject of literature and texts. The researcher randomly chose (Al-Zarqa Preparatory School for Girls) located in Shubar neighborhood, the center of Babylon Governorate, and in the same way, Division (A) was chosen to represent the first experimental group, which includes (35) students, and Division (E) was chosen to represent the second experimental group, which includes (37) students. As for the control group, it was for Division (B), which includes (36) students. The researcher formulated (92) behavioral goals and prepared daily plans for teaching the research groups. Its validity and reliability, preparing a test for high-ranking thinking consisting of (40) test items that represent nine skills of high-ranking thinking skills. The two experimental groups beat the students of the control group in the achievement test and the high-rank thinking test, and in the light of these results, the researcher concluded that the strategies of the five fingers and the group of experts contribute to increasing the effectiveness of teaching and raising its efficiency, by increasing the students' vitality and activity as two modern strategies in teaching, and recommended increasing the attention of the Directorate The General Directorate of Preparation and Training in the Ministry of Education and the General Directorates of Education train male and female teachers on the optimal use of teaching methods and modern methods, especially the strategies of the five fingers and the group of experts to achieve the desired educational goals
