Abstract

In this research, I will address the importance of temporal signs as one of the important elements in pragmatic research, and the importance of these signs appears in their role in analyzing the deliberative phenomena of the verbal utterances within the carpet text. We examined the temporal signs that were mentioned in the supplications of the blessed Sahifa al-Sahifa al-Sajjadiyyah by the master of the two prostrators,Imam Ali bin al-Hussein bin Ali bin Abi Talib, peace be upon them both. And these indicative signs were called in Arabic grammar ambiguous, so they have no indication except through the sentences and the context in which they are contained, and they are expressions that indicate time, such as: an hour, a day, a week, a month, after a year, after a week. Their present function, these temporal indicative expressions sometimes refer to what is mentioned before it and are called a prior referral, or refer to an internal textual post referral, and these elements are distinguished by having a major role in the harmony and consistency of the text, as well as an effective role in linking phrases to each other, such as linking the previous later. We must pay attention to a very important issue, which is the moment of utterance by the speaker, as it is the center of the temporal reference. Determine the reference of the temporal signals; It is now, tomorrow, month, week, year, and day, so the addressee must be aware of the moment and time of the utterance, so that the recipient or listener can take it as a reference to be referred to, and in addition to that, he can interpret those indicative elements that are mentioned in the text. The temporal signals were monitored in this research, such as the day, month, year, and othersThe reference to the indicative element (the month) in the supplications of Al-Sahifa Al-Sajjadiyya, especially in welcoming and bidding farewell to the month of Ramadan, is the time of uttering this supplication.about the prayer of Imam al-Sajjad in receiving the month of Ramadan and meekness is that the indicative element (the month) was repeated a lot and intensively.
