The objective of the current research is to discover the impact of the POE strategy (predict, notice, interpret) on the achievement and processing of circular thinking among the fourth stage students of the College of Education for Pure Sciences University of KirkukDepartment of Chemistry, and to achieve the objectives of the research, the use of a semi-experimental design for that, as the subject of measurement and evaluation was taught For the first semester, for the academic year 2022-2023, as the research sample consisted of 160 male and female students and two groups, the first - experimental was studied according to the strategy (POE) and the second - control was studied according to the usual method, and to achieve the objectives of the research, two tests were designed, one of which is achievement and consists of 20 objective items and the second The circular thinking test consists of 20 items as well, and they were applied to the sample after adjusting the psychometric characteristics for them, and using the spss program by the researcher, the results showed the positive effect of the experimental group that used the POE strategy on the traditional method (the control group) in achieving and reducing circular thinking, and we conclude Also, the strategy used developed and improved the method of logical, inferential thinking, which takes them out of the weakness of evidence (circular thinking) for students in interpreting the scientific concepts studied and the cognitive content of the subject, and thus was reflected on achievement and reducing the degree of circular thinking. Accordingly, the researcher offers recommendations, including good training for teachers. In clarifying scientific knowledge to avoid losing the integrity of knowledge, Giving students opportunities for discussion and free interpretation when participating to increase their understanding and thinking based on their rational conclusions (cause and effect)
