University Teaching in Colleges of Basic Education for Sustainable Development from the Students' Perspective

The research aimed to identify university teaching in colleges of basic education for sustainable development from the students' point of view. The researcher used the descriptive research method. The research community consisted of students of colleges of basic education at the University of Babylon within the departments of (Geography, History) for the academic year (2024-2025). The researcher relied on the random method in choosing her research sample, as the sample number reached (300) male and female students, distributed into two sections. The researcher used the sustainable development scale consisting of three areas: (First area: sustainable development at the student level, Second area: sustainable development at the level of teaching methods courses and teaching methods, Third area: sustainable development at the level of university institution service), and to extract the research results, the researcher used the t-test for one sample and the t-test for two independent samples, and the researcher reached the following results:
University teaching in colleges of basic education works to achieve sustainable development from the students' point of view.
There is no difference in sustainable development in the College of Basic Education through university teaching from the students' point of view according to the variable of specialization (Arabic language, geography, history, special education( ,There is a difference in sustainable development in the College of Basic Education through university teaching from the students' point of view according to the variable of gender (males - females) and in favor of females. In light of the above results, the researcher recommends:Work must be done to enhance sustainable development among students of colleges of basic education, as university professors must work to instill sustainable ideas in the souls of university students and encourage them to do so.In continuation of the current research, the researcher proposes the following:Conducting a study aimed at the role of sustainable development among secondary school students.Conducting a study to reveal the relationship between sustainable development and emotional thinking among university students
