Abstract

Islamic education occupies an important place in the educational process, through its spiritual, educational, scientific and moral dimensions. This research aims to clarify the importance of Islamic education in building students’ personality, increasing their religious awareness, identifying the extent to which the teacher plays his role in promoting Islamic values among students, and identifying the most important ways that contribute to activating the role of the teacher, through the means he uses to deliver those values for students. The central question of the research is based on the extent to which the teacher promotes Islamic values among the fifth preparatory students, and ways to activate his role as the teacher in this field? This research can help those interested in social upbringing, such as social institutions and teachers, and those in charge of the educational process, to find out the most important Islamic values that should be inculcated and strengthened in the hearts of students, and to reveal the role of the teacher in the preparatory stage, and in particular the fifth grade preparatory in promoting Islamic values among students. Among the most important findings of this research, are: The teacher plays an active role in promoting Islamic values among the fifth preparatory grade students, and building their personality by changing the desired students' behaviors
