Abstract

         The study aims to show the limits of the influence of social networking sites in shaping the culture of talking to others, and to reveal the differences between the answers of the respondents indicating the limits of their influence in general.

        In particular, according to the variables of gender, marital status, favorite topics, locations, and arts, as well as determining levels of compatibility between gender and the following variables: (favorite journalistic arts, topics of the culture of talking to others, favorite websites, and between preference Exposure For websites communication Social  And a preference Exposure For topics  culture Speaking) , and between preference Exposure For type Journalistic art  And sites communication Social.

        The study used a survey method, a questionnaire tool, and a scale that targeted a sample of 126 respondents interested in developing a culture of talking to others.

The study reached a set of results, most notably:

          - Instagram ranked first and Facebook ranked second among the respondents’ preferences for social networking sites. Because of its multiple communication features, and its quest for innovation compared to other social networking sites.

          - The topics related to the style of speaking with others ranked first among the respondents’ preferences, while the rest of the items (foreign vocabulary, the language of the eyes, and common local vocabulary) ranked second among the respondents’ preferences.

          - The majority of respondents are interested in following up on topics of developing the culture of talking to others. Because of their desire to increase their knowledge and use verbal and non-verbal language in communicating with others.

          - Video clips ranked first, while (news) ranked second, while specialized programs ranked third among respondents’ preferences for journalistic arts.

          - The true average value of the research sample answers is greater From the hypothesized average value of the scale of the role of social networking sites in shaping the culture of talking to others.

          - significant and non-significant differences at the level ( 0.05 ) Among the respondents' answers about the limits of the influence of social networking sites in shaping the culture of talking to others, according to preferred sites, social gender, income level, type of journalistic art, and the nature of their favorite topics.

          - There is a weak agreement between preferences Exposure For websites communication Social  And a preference Exposure For topics  culture Speaking..

          - There is a weak correspondence between gender and the preferred journalistic arts, the preference for exposure to topics of talking to others, and the preference for social networking sites for exposure to topics for talking to others.
