Abstract

This research is based on the limits of rhetorical studies in their metaphorical dimension by shedding light on this rhetorical style in the poetry of Hayyan Muhammad Al-Hassan to identify the most prominent figurative features in his poetry, trying through this to present his poetry from the angle of metaphorical imagery and its effectiveness in highlighting the poetic image of the poet who excelled. In a special way in poetry composition and the captivating poetic imagination, this study will attempt, through the descriptive and analytical approach, to shed light on new dimensions in the poet’s poems by studying them on multiple levels, and trying to provide new insights to the recipient, as this research is based on the study of imagery in metaphorical diagnosis in the poet’s poetry. And a statement of the effectiveness of the aesthetic imagery that it included, and this appears by focusing on the tools through which the metaphorical image was formed in its diagnostic dimension, and a statement of the effectiveness of the metaphorical anthropomorphic photography in highlighting the aesthetic image that the poet’s poetry included, by focusing on the artistic aspect of his poetry, and it appears This is done by focusing on the tools through which the image was formed. This necessitates the researcher to look at the poet’s method of poetic expression, which is based on the metaphorical image and the rhetorical images it contains of an aesthetic nature, based on the metaphorical diagnosis that constitutes the basic pillar of the poet’s poetic statement. The study showed that the poet's texts are very effective in metaphorical depiction in its diagnostic dimension, because of their expressive value that moves and activates the recipient's imagination, through the poet's use of anthropomorphic images in his poetry, as well as the overlapping and coexistence of expressive styles and his use of poetic contrast methods that attract the mind of the recipient and move them. He has imagination, and the researcher concluded that the poet excelled in the graphic and pictorial industries, as his language had a poetic nature that addresses the recipient’s imagination and motivates him to act out his imagination, which leads to the formation of metaphorical diagnosis in his poetry.
