Abstract

The elements of time and place are among the most important narrative elements in novels and stories. These two elements are very necessary because they complement the events and link them together. By the way, there is no action without time or place, both of which are important elements in the novel. These basic elements are considered prominent features in any literary work. As these elements have a very effective presence in any type of writing or type of text, therefore, when the reader encounters a place or time, he must understand the more detailed aspects of the text, and connect these elements to the narrative events because these two elements constitute the daily life of a person, and they are the drivers. The two basic elements of all events within the narrative text. It can be said that space is a very broad term that includes components and concepts of text events and goes far beyond the geographical boundaries of place. For this reason, we chose the time and place in Sadiq Gobak’s novel Singh Saboor and discuss each element separately, because these elements are considered the essential part of the novel. Therefore, this research has examined the time and place of the aforementioned action, which depicts both the main and effective aspects of Sangh Saboor. By the way, the relationship between time and space seems to be strong and equal, and one cannot be separated from the other because they complement each other.
