The current research was concerned with studying (the technical semantics of mental disorders in the European Renaissance) and it included four chapters. The language of the artwork is a symbolic language that has meaning and significance, including its forms, lines, and colors, and it is in its entirety a fertile field with connotations and meanings that reflect the formulation of ideas and expression of the artist, who in turn tries, through his work, to convey an image of a world brimming with psychological emotions through his work within the limits of the surface. The pictorial, creating artistic productions full of his emotions and psychological disorders, which he projected onto his work, And because these disorders affect the human self and its psychological and social compatibility, so the researcher found it a topic worthy of attention, and accordingly the problem of the current research focused on the following question (what are the technical implications of mental disorders in the European Renaissance), and the first chapter of it included the importance of the research and the need for it and its goal: to know The artistic significance of mental disorders in the European Renaissance, and its limits were the artistic works of the products of European formation for the period (AD), which the researcher obtained, From (books, specialized magazines, the Internet and websites of European artists), this chapter also included defining the terms contained in the research, and the second chapter included the theoretical framework and previous studies, while the second chapter included three sections, the first concerned the study of semantics and art, either The second topic dealt with psychological disorder, and the third topic dealt with the Renaissance, and the second chapter ended with the results of the theoretical framework of indicators, while the third chapter was concerned with research procedures that included identifying the research community and the adult, and the research sample, which amounted to (2) artworks It was chosen intentionally, and the third chapter ended with an analysis The research sample, As for the fourth chapter, it was concerned with the results of the research, the conclusions it reached, the appendices and the sources.
