Abstract

The study showed that trade represents a vital artery that connects the Iraqi economy, the economies of countries in the world and represented the phenomenon of the trade imbalance problem is evident in the structure of the Iraqi economy during the period of the twenties of the twentieth century, was the deficit and the clear distinction between the value of import and export, and we found out the underlying causes of this phenomenon, which is the novelty of the State First, inexperience apparatus specialized management, and lack of infrastructure Secondly, backwardness in agricultural and industrial production and characterized Iraq's foreign trade control of Britain on the import and export of Iraq and to him, then India and the rest of the other countries, and included most of Iraq's imports from Britain fabrics, cotton and woolen and silk types, machinery and materials construction, were either India imports include coffee, tea, soap, either Iraq's exports are limited in the major agricultural production goal of Baltimore, and livestock production goal of hides and wool.
