Abstract

The novel is one of the literary genres that is characterized by realism, critique, or ideological commitment. The purpose of the novel is to advocate a specific political thought or social issues such as poverty, hunger, justice, and so on. As a realistic novelist, Razavi Ashour deals with the issues of society and its developments. Faraj is one of the most important novels of this storyteller whose events revolve around the issues of society and its agents. The purpose of the present essay is to analyze the political and social issues related to the society of the narrative era, especially Egypt. This research uses descriptive-analytical method to investigate the novel elements and components. The results show that the application of the novel elements to social issues emerges and the Razavi method is an interpretation of the problems of society and the narrative feature in this novel is a realistic look at Egyptian society that represents the entire Arab world throughout the Razavi stories. . It is worth noting that the author uses some of the elements that include characters, dialogue, place, time, narrative and linguistic tools.
