Selections from the poetry of Ibn Hani Al-Andalusi, an analytical artistic study

Abstract

The Andalusian era is the era of civilization, literature and prosperity. The beauty of nature in this era made poets innovate in their poetry through the description that the Andalusian poet sees. Andalusian poetry has a prestigious position in the heart of the Andalusians. Through this, I have dealt with a poet from the poets of Andalusia and analyzed some of his verses objectively and artistically through the beauty of the words he uses. He is the famous (Ibn Hani Al-Andalusi). The research method required that I divide it into three sections preceded by an introduction and ending with a conclusion. I was required to clarify in the first section: the poet’s biography in terms of his name, life and social culture. The second section is entitled: The objective study and artistic image in his poetry.

  After that, I dealt in the third section: The rhetorical methods and internal music in his poetry. After analyzing the verses of poetry, I found that the poet had used clear words with a clear style through the poetic purposes that he used of praise, satire, elegy and description. He also employed rhetorical methods of simile, metaphor and metonymy, as well as repetition, which makes the internal music a wonderful sensual melody. This employment made the reader dive into the sea of ​​poetic experience. This poetic effect on the recipient of poetry makes the poet creative in his poetry and draws the poetic image for him. This is what our poet Ibn Hadi Al-Andalusi wanted to clarify. The life of the Andalusian poet is full of poetic experiences. Every poet from this era lived his poetic experience differently from the other poet, due to the difference between kings and princes.
