Abstract

This research deals with the study and investigation of some of the letters of meanings in the book (Baghyat Al-Areeb fi Tawsheeh Issues of Mughni Al-Labib). The commentator (Omar bin Abdullah Al-Fassi) dealt with some issues related to letters in the book (Mughni Al-Labib) by Ibn Hisham Al-Ansari, and explained it in an easy scientific manner. Explaining in it some of the controversial issues in which the forms occurred, showing the correct approach in those issues by conveying the opinions of the ancient grammarians, and it became clear to us through the scientific opinions presented by the commentator, and the mentality that he enjoys without fanaticism towards a particular doctrine at the expense of another.. Sheikh Omar's explanation is one of the important explanations that focused on the Arabic language and is one of the important works in the field of this specialization. Sheikh Omar had some unique opinions in his grammatical choices. Sheikh Omar agreed with Ibn Hisham in most issues, and sometimes we find him disagreeing with him if he found the closest to the truth, and here his personality appeared to us, especially in the issues in which he disagreed with Ibn Hisham. He defended some grammarians who Ibn Hisham attributed to them illusion and weakness. Sheikh Omar relied on grammatical principles to establish his rules and support his choices, so he paid attention to listening and worked with analogy and took consensus. Most of his opinions follow the Basran approach, and sometimes he takes the Kufi opinion.
