Abstract

The current paper tackles the denotation of adjective  structured by non- dervational noun of the proper noun . The adjective is considered one of  altawabi’ in Arabic for which  all Arab grammarians devoted a particular section  among other  syntactic sections in both  classical and modern Arabic references on syntax .Basically , the adjective should be derivational but sometimes it could be non-derivational .So , this study was conducted to investigate the  adjective (structured by non-derivational noun) of the proper noun , in particular , which is mentioned in the Glorious Qur’an . The study aims at deducing this type of adjective and its typology .The source of the data was the Glorious Qur’an as it is distinguished from any  other common source in Arabic  which, in  turn ,  motivates the researcher to come up with a  distinguished study added to the  literature on Qur’anic studies .The researcher adopted  inductive and analytical approaches in the sense that the researcher started with the former approach to select the  qur’anic verses that include this sort of adjective with its types . The latter  approach was followed to analyse the data making use of the linguistic elements that support the researcher to unearth  the meaning of each adjective structure  under investigation in accordance with the context .The study design includes an introduction  where the keywords of the title were explained. Tow sections were included ; the first one covered the  denotation of  adjective in relation to (alismu almawsool wasilatihi) whereas the second  section discussed the denotation of adjective in relation to ( thoo)and its types .The paper ended up with a conclusion summarizing the main results the researcher came up with.
