Abstract

This study aims to explore and analyze the semantic transformations in the terms of time in the Holy Quran, and to shed light on the changing connotations of these terms over time. The contexts, linguistic structures, and concepts associated with each term of time in the various surahs and verses will be analyzed, and an attempt will be made to interpret these semantic transformations based on the approved linguistic and interpretative references. This research is expected to contribute to shedding light on the development of temporal concepts in the Holy Quran and understanding them more deeply. It can also contribute to clarifying the relationship between language, time, and culture in the Holy Quran, and how the meaning of temporal terms is affected by changes in time, place, and social circumstances. - The meanings of the word (the hour) in the Holy Quran: (absolute time - the resurrection - the moment - a part of the parts of the night and day).

- The word (month) was not used in the Holy Quran except in its true sense.
