Abstract

Trade is a fundamental pillar of economic activity in all its aspects, and Egypt was one of the most active countries in the field of internal and external trade, and the reason for this is thanks to its strategic location and its possession of land and sea routes, which helped trade flourish in general, in addition to the establishment of large commercial cities that attracted merchants from all over the world, on the one hand, and on the other hand, the Arab Islamic conquest of Egypt played a major role in increasing commercial activity in it and the prosperity of its economic life thanks to the economic policy adopted by Arab Muslims in the economic fields and working to increase support for goods entering and leaving it, and organizing economic and commercial laws in it, which made room for increasing the participation of the merchant in the economic life of Egypt, and Egypt became one of the most active countries in this era, which resulted in the establishment of markets linked to this trade that played an effective role in commercial and economic activity, which made Egypt one of the most countries in its markets, and this is due to the establishment of a special system to monitor and organize the market after the Arab conquest.
