Abstract

This research, titled "Psycholinguistics in Kurdish Mythology, is a scholarly attempt to identify the value of and analyze Kurdish Mythology through the perspective of psycholinguistics. At present, the school of psycholinguistics is considered one of the most significant approaches for examining and interpreting Mythology texts. It plays a crucial role in unraveling the deeper meanings of Mythology within the discipline of Mythology studies and provides a detailed psychological and personality-based analysis of its linguistic dynamics. This analysis is conducted through linguistic dissection, focusing on how language structures are organized and their psychological effects within these texts. Mythology emerges not only as a linguistic and psychological artifact but also as a deeply interconnected phenomenon between these two sciences, with significant mutual influence.

The research follows a descriptive-psycholinguistic methodology to analyze folklore texts within the context of the central Kurdish dialect. Its importance lies in highlighting the inner and magical power of the words and phrases commonly used in Mythology texts, which create a profound psychological impact on the audience.

The first section deals with the theoretical framework which addresses the essence and definitions of folklore, its significance, the relationship between Mythology and psychology, and the concept of psycholinguistics. It discusses themes such as the psychological school of thought, language in psychology, the scope of psycholinguistics, and their implications for growth and development.
