The methods of IT-enabled organizational transformation have created an emerging reality in which cyber threats have become among the most significant obstacles confronting nations, rendering cybersecurity an essential element of national security. The role of the nation is not confined to protecting its territorial borders but has grown to include safeguarding its information infrastructure and virtual environment.
From this perspective, cyber mechanisms become indispensable frameworks for managing digital risks via system fortification, data security, and ensuring the flow of services, consequently improving governmental stability and its ability to regulate resources effectively. This is directly connected to the trajectory of cyber resilience, as the supply of a secure digital environment results in enhancing public services, driving digital transformation, and fostering trust in government bodies.
The situation in Iraq reveals obvious difficulties in this field, including a deficient regulatory framework, Inadequate digital infrastructure, and scarcity of specialized knowledge that influences government authority to maximize the use of cyber mechanisms. This enables the evolution of this field a vital component for promoting sustainability and reinforcing national security.
