Salahuddin is the founder of Ayyubi State. He established the state based on Ibn-Khaldun and Machiavelli viewpoints focusing on the philosophy of ambition, unity and surviving. Ibn-Khaldin believes that establishing a state depends on ups and downs through social, economy and political factors. Machiavelli believes that the leader is the key fact of the era who benefits from all aspects to target his goals. Hence, Salahuddin has set his ambitions to reunite the Muslim communities under his supervision as long as the high ability of the fighters in hisnArmy. He also has got benefit from internal and external factors to establish a united state and saving the Muslim world. This study compares Salahuddin to other leaders. The ideology of building a leader as Salahuddin is through understanding the above viewpoints in leader’s power. The powers leads to social status, violence leads to army, army leads to building a state, and a state leads to civilization. The philosophers believe that army is build based on conflicts, but the army is above the conflicts through the wisdom of the leader to face internal and external threats. Finally, Ayyubi state could stand against the challenges focusing on leadership wisdom, peoper ideology and ambition to build history.
