This study sheds light on the cultural patterns in the poetry of Saleh Al-Jaafari, highlighting the importance of understanding how culture is formed as part of social identity. Al-Jaafari addresses the cultural complexities and suffering reflected in poetry within the contexts of time and place. The research problem lies in the need to analyze traditional and contemporary cultural patterns and examine their influence on literary arts, reflecting the close relationship between poetry and society. The article aims to analyze cultural patterns through an examination of Saleh Al-Jaafari’s texts, thereby fostering an understanding of the cultural milieu in which he lived. A cultural-critical approach was employed, integrating literary and intellectual analysis. The texts are examined as expressions of social and political issues, enhancing the study’s ability to reveal the familial, historical, and psychological dimensions of poetry. The findings indicate that culture is a complex concept encompassing both subjective and public dimensions and reflecting the diversity of societies across time. Cultural patterns in Saleh Al-Jaafari’s poetry are manifested through representations of Arab identity and culture, as he employs symbols to reinforce social and historical values. Al-Jaafari addresses political and social conflicts, reflecting the importance of resistance and the dignity of the people. His poetry expresses the need for education and cultural change as a means of building a strong society. Through his poetry, he also highlights the influence of other cultures on cultural identity, thereby reinforcing the values of cooperation and solidarity among individuals.
