Abstract

Although the poets Jamal Jassim Amin and Abdul Amir Jaras are known as prose poem poets, each of them has five poetry collections, all of which are characterized by the prose poem genre. As soon as Jamal Jassim Amin or Abdul Amir Jaras is mentioned, the listener will immediately assume that they are prose poems and nothing else. Except for a little of what was from them to be the subject of our research, from reviewing the texts included in their poetic works, we were able to put our hand on models in which the meter is embodied in a traditional metrical structure; and we tried to prove that the poets of the free verse poem were not completely freed from the traditional form in their poetic writing, in addition to that they may be described as being able to use the structure of the traditional poetic rhythm - metrics - contrary to what some of them went to that the poets of the free verse poem, because of their inability to organize their poems according to the traditional poetic meters; and because the free verse poem gives them a wide space of freedom in writing, they deliberately abandoned the metrics of poetry and went in the direction of writing the free verse poem, in addition to that the poets, the field of research, represented the movement of poetic renewal, as their beginning was with the free verse, and the column poem, that poetry in which the term literary generation or poetic generation was found, and despite the fact that the wave of poetic renewal, and the tendency of modernization in that period tempted the generation to which it belongs The two poets, however, were writing in the genres of poetry that were agreed upon by those concerned in the field of literary studies, and then began the revolution of poetic modernization that we alluded to previously, and this revolution was capable of displacing the system of inherited poetry with its metrical structure in its external rhythm, after that, Jamal Jassim Amin and Abdul Amir Jaras did nothing but contribute their two cents in an effort to keep pace with the movement of poetic renewal.
