Explanation of Al-Zamakhshari’s Maqamat: A reading in the light of psycholinguistics of selected models

The study aims to expand the space for one of the branches of linguistics, namely psycholinguistics, It is a study that has a novel character and does not go beyond the terminology that establishes this science and supports its concepts, based on the hybridity in its original position. Psycholinguistics begins with language and ends with mental processes and psychological influences that form language, unlike linguistic psychology, which begins with mental processes and the sources of feeling and subconsciousness and the resulting linguistic secretions. It was necessary to stop at the concept of psycholinguistics, based on the fact that it is one of the applied fields in modern linguistics, and the fields in which it is researched in terms of linguistic performance and reception, in addition to expanding the statement on the components of language because it is a human phenomenon subject to manifestations of human behavior, performing functions that reflect the image of the performer, and its receiver is then entrusted with special strategies that fall under reading models in which the text is dealt with according to a linguistic-psychological concept, so that the performance of the language embodies the behavioral pattern and personal dimensions of the creator of the text. The texts of Al-Zamakhshari’s Maqamat were rich in formal and symbolic selectivity, and their continuity formed a fertile ground in which psychological influences worked, subjecting it to reading strategies. Thus, the pragmatic functions appeared parallel at the level of the Maqamat by consensus. The behavioral and conceptual change in Al-Zamakhshari (538h)became apparent to the reader, and his relationship with the texts of the Maqamat was manifested through the presentation and explanation of concepts, which is a dual or double relationship. This was manifested through his addressing himself in it in the manner of: “O Abu Al-Qasim.” He was the preacher and the first admonished or the first beneficiary, so that the recipient of the Maqamat represents the second admonished or the second beneficiary according to the concept of linguistic continuity. It is worth noting a special reading that was adopted and included in the content of the study based on a dual vision of the concept of: (stimulus and response) in light of psycholinguistics, which is the expansion of the image of the text before its formation through the psychological stimulating influences. To create it as (first stimulus), and the creator of the text is: (first responder) to those stimuli, and thus the text forms (second stimulus) that embodies those stimuli after it as a result of presenting separate concepts to form the reader (second responder) to those stimuli through the text. The content of the maqamat was addressed according to the interactive reading model, in which the meaning does not go straight in one direction, as reading may be from the bottom to the top or vice versa, so the texts were stopped within the limits of the phonetic, morphological, lexical and syntactic content within the general framework of linguistic performance in psycholinguistics ، The study was focused on two axes that encompass the aim of the research in linking language to the concepts of psychology, based on the relationship between them.References
