This study aimed to identify the effect of the dialogical investigation strategy in improving reading comprehension and creative thinking in reading for fifth grade science students. Palestine Preparatory School for Boys which affiliated to Al-Anbar Education Directorate was chosen randomly during the second semester of academic year 2022/ 2023 .The sample of the study consisted of ((70) students. They were already chosen randomly and divided into two groups: Group one consisted of (35) students that was chosen as an experimental group and group two consisted of (35) students, which was assigned as a control group.The researcher followed the quasi-experimental approach and to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher prepared a test in reading comprehension using Torrance Test for Creative Thinking. The validity of the tests was verified procedurally, and the data was treated statistically, including (arithmetical means, standard deviations, and the application of one-way analysis of variance). The results were: There are statistically significant differences in the dialogic investigation strategy in improving reading comprehension in reading among fifth grade science students and for the benefit of experimental group students, There are statistically significant differences in the dialogical investigation strategy in improving creative thinking in reading among fifth grade science students and for the benefit of the experimental group students. The researcher recommends moving away from traditional teaching methods in teaching reading, and directing Arabic language teachers to use a contemporary strategy such as the dialogic investigation strategy in teaching, because it is effective in developing reading comprehension and creative thinking among students.References
