Abstract

The role of the scholars of Hilla emerged from the beginning of its establishment in the year (495AH/ 1101AD) in carrying the flag of science and intellectual and literary activity extended beyond the borders of this city to Baghdad, Najaf, Karbala, Wasit, Mosul and some of the Levant, Egypt and Bahrain , and this indicates the openness of the scholars of Hilla to other cultures and not to fossilize and close themselves. At the same time, it opened its doors to receive the students of science and knowledge to learn from the torture of its scientists, and we can describe it in the scientific institutes through which the student obtains his scientific leave that entitles him to exercise his competence, whether in teaching or boys, so it was intended by art attractors, pioneers of virtue and students of science from various Islamic countries to study their scientists and learn about their conditions, so these trips benefited in learning about the scientific life and the conditions of the Islamic cities that prevailed in that period . Many scientific families came out of Hilla and applied their fame in Islamic countries, such as Bani Taous, Bani Nama, Bani Said, Bani Al-Mutahhar, Bani Mu 'ayyah, Bani Aziz, Al-Idris, Al-Idris, Al-Siyuri, and similar scientific houses until the end of the tenth century AH . The research aims to uncover one of the ornamental scientific families, the Al-Mu 'ayyah family, which had a prominent role. It is the development of the scientific movement in Hilla during the sixth century until the end of the eighth century AH - which won great honor during and after their lives - and to shed light on the most prominent men of this family and their scientific effects, despite the loss of many of them except simple references from the sayings of some scientists scattered among the jurisprudential and translation books. This era represents the most important stages of the development and prosperity of the intellectual movement in Hilla , and the brightest stages of its jurisprudential and literary life and the most fertile and active , until it became the passion of researchers for various types of mental and transferable sciences.
