The critical procedure in criticizing the critical discourse of Iraqi poetry

Abstract

The textual approaches of Arab critics represented approaches of temptation and seduction in terms of their theoretical propositions and procedural tools. Some of the critics were preoccupied and worked with these tools in which they found what they sought to be applied critically, which revealed to us a somewhat coherent critical discourse. Rather, we can say that the Iraqi critical discourse has achieved healthy development. Logical and based on references and visions of those textual approaches. The critical discourse concerned with textual approaches has crystallized since the 1990s exclusively in Iraqi criticism, which is a subsequent stage in the development of the Arab critical discourse. However, what distinguishes the Iraqi critical discourse is that it was able to deal with literary texts in general and poetic texts in particular, which gave it its due appropriate and harmonious applied dimension. With the nature of the theoretical level, which made it a discourse that entered into critical areas that had previously been occupied. This research includes the most important axes that the modern Arab critical discourse has been preoccupied with, worked on, and revolved around, namely the search for the procedural tools for every modern textual approach, starting with structuralism and reaching the proposals of cultural criticism. This makes us carry out an inductive process that reveals these tools for every critic who has worked in criticizing the poetic text and relied on a textual approach, whether the critic announced these tools in his discourse and analysis of poetic texts explicitly or worked on a critical tool or tools that he did not declare, but rather his analysis came in accordance with these tools that belong to a textual critical approach.
